The Story

The AWAP were looking for a developer to update the design of their existing website and create a more modern and professional site. They aimed to improve user experience, accessibility, and navigation through adoption of a refreshed and modern design. With them being an international association they also wanted the website to be available in French

The original site was built on Wordpress using the free version of Elementor. Within this project, I completely redesigned the site using Elementor Pro. I built custom headers, footers, and navigation to be used throughout the site. I then developed each individual page in English until we had the design and layout exactly as the client wanted. It was then a case of converting each page to French. This order of operations saved me time and consequently saved them money.

By the end of the project I had built the client a beautiful, low cost, and user friendly website.

The Features

  • Low budget maximum output - The client had a relatively small budget for this job and so I had to work efficiently to maximise my output for the cost they had. Custom css was written in the site settings to control layout across all pages, and re-usable components were created and used where I could.
  • Multi-language - There was a requirement to build this site in both French and English. I used a multi-language plugin to do this and ensured that all copy was provided by the customer before starting work

The Technology

Built with Wordpress and Elementor Pro. Custom code used within Elementor Pro to deliver the experience the client wanted
